Korea has compulsory military service. Every male has to enlist. Depending on where they're enlisting, they're gone for 2~3 years. You have to enlist by the time you turn 28. Most people fulfill their service in their early 20s or right out of high school but since idols have a shelf life, they usually push it as far as they can. Jin is 27 this year so...he's gotta go lol
