Although she was in shock over the statement because she thought woman to woman they would have had her back, she listened to her father Harold Perrineau: “We just need to take a second, be silent, let the facts speak for themselves...They’re going to be on the wrong side of history.”

This made me cry. Even though I think it was wise advice, it must have been galling as hell to hear two supposedly liberal white women denigrate your experience and not be able to respond. I would have been so angry. That she has been able to respond now with such grace speaks volumes to her strength. I don't know that I would have been able to do the same - I think I would have just gotten angrier over time, especially since one of them never apologized.

It’s sucks that her father’s advice was for the best. A victim shouldn’t have to act a certain way to make to not rock the boat, but sadly it is that way.

I know Lena gets a lot of (absolutely deserved shit) but there were a looooot of other ppl dragging Aurora through the mud. Off the top of my head it was of course Jenni but also Marielle Heller and Jorna from the lonely island (and I vaguely remember Busy Phillips also being shitty about this but I’m not sure). That whole group can choke imo.
