I am so happy for Mati Diop. This is her first feature film and I don't think anyone expected it to be such a success. Gutted for Sciamma though. Still no second female Palme winner but I am happy for Bong Joon-ho. At least he is a deserved winner and this did not turn into a mess like 2016. Justice for Maren Ade!

I remember feeling pissed about Ade not getting anything just based on reviews and then I finally saw the actual movies and I was even more pissed.

I also found it really funny that a lot of the big names got nothing. None for Dolan, Malick or Tarantino!
