I know, this is off topic but as a Muslim I want to thank you and your country. The way New Zealand came to love, support and mourn with the Muslim community, it’s immeasurable and I promise, no other country or leader has done so. I now pray for New Zealand in all my prayers. I don't think it's off-topic at all. What happened here was a travesty. I shared a story in the post when the attack happened, that I had visited one of the mosques during Islamic Awareness Week in order to learn about Islam. I am a social worker here and I wanted to know about Islam in case I had a client who was Muslim because understanding is so important. The people at that mosque took me in and they were so kind and open and loving. They invited me to their homes after meeting me once. That is the kind of person I want to be, just so peaceful and loving and open-hearted. And that is what that man tried to attack, but he can't. It breaks my heart that those beautiful people were attacked like that, because no one could deserve it less. But nothing can take who those people were and are away
