Heidi Klum's fiance's band - Tokio Hotel - has released a new song. oddly enough, it is quite good!

When it Rains, it Pours

The Tom, Georg and Gustav visuals are quite nice as is the rock vibe. I personally like they made this less about Bill.

ONTD, don't be ashamed - did you still stan tokio hotel?

I used to be a huge fan when I was 13-14 years old - was a mod on their fan website, translated songs, wrote fanfiction, all that jazz. Bill was my one true love, and I even got myself a German tutor haha. It’s weird looking back at that time, because now my reaction is basically her?.gif and all I can say is that I appreciate my parents’ patience lol

haha i was never a good charlotte fan so i didn't even stumble on their fic. but now i think about it the first twincest i saw was probably the weasly twins fisc (lmao) but i guess it didn't register as weird to me because they were fictional, idk

tokio hotel and the arctic monkeys were my teenage lesson in the relativity of fame re: usa vs europe/latam

at school in the states nobody really knew who tf they were but we'd visit overseas and both bands were inescapable on tv/radio and i constantly saw kids wearing their merch in all these different countries. it was wild to me lol

I don't like their new song but "melancholic paradise" is really good. I'm also surprised that they're still in the industry and have "success" (not as much as back then but still enough to make their fans pay hundreds for an overpriced weekend trip), it's been 14 years since they debuted.

Their last era was't that bad. Love Who Love You Back was a bop. This, however, is not it.
Btw I recently found a 400+ page (and still in the making) fan fiction saga about Bill, Tom, Jared Leto in charachter of Joker and Brian Molko from Placebo all having a huge BDSM love rectangle (This is the most Russian line up I have ever read tbh, the only person who is missing is probably Keith Flint, RIP). I tried to read it outloud to a group phone call but it was too cringeworthy so we just laughed from all the description and some of it is in German. Ugh some post-Soviet emo girl still haven't grown out of her 2007 phase, she also photoshopped some illustrations for it. My god that was a Reverse Warholian expedition!

LWLYB was not their last era, there was another one after KoS. (I know that because I actually listened to the KoS album a couple of times, but with Dream Machine I didn't even bother).
