Saw Best of Enemies last night, it is not good. Seeing Pet Semetary tonight, The Wind tomorrow and Amazing Grace on Saturday with my mom because she's an Aretha stan and she's gonna cry a lot. And Shazam! on Sunday.

I saw Peterloo many months ago and it was, well, boring, and not in the usual Mike Leigh way I like. But I'm always glad to see Rory. And I saw High Life back at NYFF and I honestly can't wait for the reactions from normal people dumb-dumbs who just stroll in without doing any research assuming it's going to be like Gravity or Passengers or something. (It's NOT. It's really, REALLY not. I mean, it's Claire Denis. But you know some people will be like "oh, the Twilight boy in space, that's nice!")

Glad you had a great trip, OP! :-)

Lately, I've watched Stan & Ollie, Teen Witch, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, La Vie en Rose, and Period. End of Sentence.

I am going to see RENT this weekend, so it will probably be a slower movie-watching weekend for me. Will probably just watch a Netflix DVD on Friday and I might watch Incredibles 2 on Sunday.

Ugh, can someone explain to me WHY THE MULE IS STILL PLAYING IN A THEATER NEAR ME?!? I absolutely do not get it!

This Telugu movie is also opening this week.

Wow, wtf at The Mule still being in theaters??? That shit came out in December and won literally nothing.

Have fun @ Rent!!

I know! The theater that is showing The Mule has finally dropped it to two showings a day - but I think it was still doing four daily showings until this week. It makes no sense to me unless they are bringing in vanloads of nursing home residents every day, b/c I can't imagine anyone is still buying tickets for it.

I am tempted to stop by the theater and ask them why it's still playing. XD

Oh, and I left a comment on buzzybhn's Letterboxd list for March, but I am up for doing some crowdsourcing for the rest of the ONTD Movie Challenge posts. It's not fair to expect her to come up with all of the tasks, imo.

So leave your suggestions here!

I am voting for 'watch a comedy' for one of the tasks.

Watch an indie animation. Nothing from Disney/Pixar/Dreamworks/BlueSky/Sony, heck, not even Laika. There are lots of options on youtube and netflix.

They also don't have to be full-length films. Something under an hour is fine!

I'm very surprised we're not getting Best of Enemies.

This places loves the hokey shit that puts their right-wing white asses in the right.

Huh, I'm surprised, too! I always check my hometown's showtimes to see if something's getting a wide release (because it won't show up there otherwise), and it was in several theaters there.
