those alarms exist in hell. they are so scary. im less scared the older i get, but damn, its so terrifying knowing the alarm might go off

I forget to deactivate the alarms on items a lot, even when they don’t beep at my register they still make the doors go off and I feel so bad!! I always tell customers who are buying stuff that, hey the doors might beep when you leave but that’s cause those doors suck!

I do this all the time with things I get from the bakery section especially with these little bread pizza things that I'm addicted to. With pastries I get 2 or 3 and I always tell the cashier that I ate one. With water I give them the empty bottle lol. Never thought of it as wrong?? I don't know what the laws here in Canada are but I'm Black so I should not be doing this shit regardless. Your comment really got me thinking about things differently.

my aunt opened a bag of chips for my cousin to snack on while we were in the checkout line- 5 year old me was absolutely scandalized

lol i remember my mother used to babysit my lil cousin and she did that and I yelled THAT'S STEALING. She was mortified lol.
