[Spoiler]I read they changed a book that has a happy ending into a tragic ending. I'm absolutely not here for adapting our few happy endings in literature away from lesbians.

[Link to spoiler] I think they both live but in the book they end up together and in the movie they don't. I don't understand why we can't just have like a normal happy-ish ending once and a while? This movie was hotly anticipated in lesbian circles until a screening or two let out that info.
