It is truly a bonkers story that somehow kinda disappeared from the culture. I was watching it and kept googling because it seemed so unreal

Moon and Sunshine are one of my favorite double features! Dammit now I have to watch Moon. Is Hell or Highwater an indie, I found it this week and man I liked it.

Idk if HoHW is technically an Indie but it’s listed as part of the trilogy since all three were written by Sheridan. I loved it, I think it was really overlooked for awards that year.

wind river was so good. it definitely deserved some awards buzz.

locke wasn't good but i did enjoy olivia colman's voice... i think? she's not listed in the op's write up.

She’s in it. She wasn’t listed in cast at the source so I missed it but I’ll add her, thanks!

when i saw wind river at the cinema (alone) i was so tense, the entire time, when i left my muscles were actually in pain haha.

the stand off and flashback scenes were executed so well, and elizabeth olsen was incredible. i just wish jeremy renner's role had been a native american character

Oh yes, this list is my SHIT. Ex Machina, Moon, Enemy, Brick, etc. these are some of my fave movies of the past 20 years. Ex Machina especially, I love basically any project Alex Garland has ever been affiliated with.

Honestly I didn't like Wind River that much? I'm down for a neo-western but it focused WAY too much on the Renner character and he was easily the least interesting character in the story. also I just don't like Jeremy Renner lol.

lol I actually like Noah Baumbach movies and I love Adam Driver but I can't bring myself to watch any movie that seems to have that much fedora action going on in it, I'm shallow tbh!

alex garland is really out there making some of the best female driven content in the last decade and we're all just snoozing on him tbh. i think he has a tv series coming out soonish with sonoya mizuno and i'm hype.

Jeremy didn't even need to be in Wind River. The story would have been better having his character be Native instead of white.
