I could barely get through the second episode. I don't think I'm going to continue the series but I hope they bring Ben back from the dead.

if you decide to try to pick it up again, which you shouldn't because it's bad, only watch from episode 7 to the finale, literally everything else is pointless.

The Monocle is still an alien tho.

I do wonder if they're going to pursue Vanya/Diego if there's another season or if that's just done and done. I think I'd prefer it left done, because I want Vanya to find a supportive girlfriend who puts her firsts for her, not to fuck over her family.

Adding more Ben is the best choice any series has ever made ever.

+1 for Vanya getting a lovely gf who treats her well.

She was only with Creepy McCreeper bc he was the only person who was nice to her. Let her be loved!

that's a constant that really baffled me; allusions to character building events that never go anywhere. like you said, the monocle is still an alien, but it has no impact on the overall story or anything to do with his story arc so why make him an alien at all? [Spoiler (click to open)]why have patch be a woman that dies? why have diego repeatedly allude to his former relationship with patch? why have diego kill mom? why have vanya kill harold? why is number 4's relationship with ben a secret? why have vanya kill pogo? amongst the many occurrences of wasted opportunities to build the characters and tell a compelling story.

I, too, was puzzled when [spoilers]Diego killed Mom. Like, why?

[spoilers]Harold and Pogo, though, I sort of understood. For Harold, I interpreted it as her seeing him as a betrayer - someone she initially trusted and loved, who treated her like she was her own person and not because she was the one who was always left out from the Umbrella Academy - the Normal One. Allison senses something off with Harold as soon as she meets him, but Vanya brushes it off as her being narcissistic/making it all about her and how *she* felt about Harold, and not how *Vanya* felt about Harold... )

The actor playing Five was fantastic.

Seriously! I’m so suprised how a kid playing an “adult” doesn’t come off as bratty and annoying, he legitimately seems like an adult lol what a great actor

Honestly tho.

I rewatching and the difference with how he plays 13yo Five and grown man in kid's body Five is night and day. Props to him.

at times i would actually forget that he's really a kid and completely buy into him being an adult and then go "wait no he isn't" lol

Just finished episode 7. I'm going to watch the other 3, probably by the end of tomorrow... but I don't know if I'm going to stick around for Season 2, because it's interesting enough, but not interesting enough to keep me wanting more.
