White people just can’t stop themselves from being racist. 😒 Doesn’t matter if it happened 40 years ago. And why diss he think it would be appropriate to tell it now?! I’m disgusted.

I’m so fucking tired of white people admitting to their racism and then expecting a pat on the back for being honest about it.

He probably thinks he's a feminist hero for being upset his friend was raped

I honestly feel like that's why he told his story. Like the racism didn't even occur to him, he just thought he was gonna be seen as a good guy for "caring" about his friend.

when in reality his reaction reeks of misogyny lol instead of focusing on his friend or supporting her, he took it as a mission to prove his masculinity. sometimes I think men see rape as just... trespassing on private property. his story reeks of that.

Is he really this stupid? I have never followed him much, but he never came across as someone who is completely tone deaf and just flat out dumb. Why would you ever tell a story like this about yourself? This is the kind of thing that leaks to the media and then you deny it with all the power you have.

The last couple of years he's said questionable things: he felt the horses and carriages around nyc should stay because they have always been there and Metoo is a witchhunt.

"I went out deliberately into black areas in this city looking to be set upon so I could unleash physical violence and I did it maybe four or five times until I caught myself on and it really shocked me, this primal urge I had."

This is so badly phrased, he makes it sound like he did do something violent rather than just wanting to.
