I think 2019 is going to be a year of social media purging. Whether it’s because people are realising the creepy data implications or because they find social media bad for their mental health or whatever, it’s starting to happen.

I’ve deleted all but Instagram, and I wish someone would bring out a similar photo site that would kill that off since Zuckerfuck owns it.

agreed. social media has been over-saturated for a while now... i def think if not this year, by 2020, a lot of the redundant social networks will fade.

I hope it's time for the purge. I deleted FB, deleted all my pics from Insta. Honestly. I don't like posting my personal life online as much anymore. It just seems stupid, feels fake, and can lead to shady things.

I don't use any of these platforms so I'm good.

Also I can shake that creepy news story that broke from the NYT about Facebook giving free access to view (AND EVEN EDIT) people's private messages to a ton of companies including, randomly, RBC!

I tried looking it up - but do people who get added to private lists get notified? And do you have to 'follow' them?

I put people in that work for companies I like so I can pretend to gaf about them and maybe get hired. It's helpful!
