I feel like the majority of rom coms are kinda problematic? Or maybe it's just the majority of entertainment?

Hmmm.... Does There's Something about Mary count as a rom com? Because that was super problematic.

lol. I haven’t watched that one but is it the one where someone’s face gets rubbed against another person’s belly during a basketball game? For some reason that scene sticks with me from watching a trailer.

I can see that scene so vividly in my mind but I can’t think of what movie it’s from. In Along came Polly he plays squash, but it’s not from that scene.

The Wedding Planner and all other rom coms where we’re supposed to root for the groom starting an emotional relationship with another woman while preparing to get married.

and on top of that they usually make the bride somewhat shallow or vapid in order to justify the emotional affair.
