Me when I check, for the umpteenth time, just in case, maybe, we might get Destroyer today and see that we don't:

either seeing destroyer or stan & ollie today, depends on when i get out of work

earlier this week saw aquaman (fun but way too long), second act (cute but meh), vice (TERRIBLE AND UNPLEASANT, DO NOT WATCH unless you're an awards junkie like me), and bumblebee (adorable and so much fun, do recommend)

i saw on the basis of sex weeks ago in an advanced screening, pretty meh on it being a chessy by-the-book biopic. also felicity jones' contacts were INSANELY distracting ugh

Oh damn, Vice is that bad?? I wasn't really looking forward to it, and now that I finally cancelled Moviepass (they dropped all my Landmarks), I legit might wait to see it for free at a screening or skip it entirely.

Definitely still gonna see OTBoS, I can appreciate a cheesy biopic!

it was SO TEDIOUS and frustrating. and like you're meant to laugh at how much of an appalling monster cheney was but it just leaves such a bad taste in your mouth when you look at how much he destroyed the nation. it's just really unpleasant and the punchlines and story are so irritating. you just kind of want to fucking punch everyone in the face lmao. bale was fine but all i could see was fat-bale doing a cheney impression. i personally loathed it but i know the movie's getting a spectrum of criticism.

usually when i see a movie and people enjoy it (like aquaman and bumblebee) there are applause at the end. not with vice. you could just collectively feel the audience had had enough of the fucking movie and wanted it to end

the rbg biopic is cheesy but it does drag a bit and get dull. i do appreciate the relationship between ruth and marty though (and how much of a fucking boss ruth was, though we just see a glimpse of it here)

We watched Bird Box last night after we got back from the East Coast, and I spent most of the movie extremely tensed up/yelling at my screen. It didn't end up being amazing, but it was enjoyable enough, and I think Sandra Bullock's character is the kind of person we'd all want to be in an emergency (but lbr, I would have been one of the first people dead).

I have a lot of catching up to do in regard to releases from the past couple of weeks, and I plan to start this weekend! Finally cancelled Moviepass since they took away my e-ticketing theaters, so now I have to start scavenging for Atom Ticket deals and whatnot to see indies at Arclight. At least I still have AList!

seeing vice and green book and i'm not rlly looking forward to either of them lol but i'm trying to catch up to awards season. this week has been good movie week for me for shoplifters (which will prob my #1 movie of the yr unless beale street/favourite rlly do it for me) alone so even if i don't like either, at least i had that and i'm prob gonna see the favourite and beale street pretty soon too.
