If your production can't afford to do a background check during pre-production.....your production sucks.

Is she for real? Good God. If a little mom and pop shop can do background checks on their employees, Hollywood sure as fuck can.

Background checks like this are a safety issue though...not a discrimination thing. It's not like he has a 3 strikes misdemeanour drug charge on his record or something. Everyone else has to do them.

ahhh.. the fake outrage.... people get released from prison all the time and some will go on to do all sorts of jobs.. incl people who killed etc etc... that's how the world works....
