yeah, it's like... Rosa Salazar has a face. why not just work from that, because they clearly had neither the talent, time nor budget to make a fully CG Alita look believable lol

This looks pretty bad, both story-wise (generic) and in regards to the visual effects. The CGI kind of makes me think of the 2007 Beowulf movie, where it was supposed to be so advanced and cool/realistic-looking and instead aged really terribly.

the face design is way too creepy for me and i breathed a sigh of relief when i realized the love interest is age appropriate

this looks like multi-million dollar underage teen anime waifu bullshit marketed to creepy grown ass men and will probably flop. the only positive i can day is that i like how robert rodriguez always makes sure to hire latino actors. he may be trash who cheated on the mother of his 84 children, but he remembers his roots.
