Some animals were evacuated from the Los Angeles Zoo as a fast-growing brush fire on a nearby hillside threatened the facility https://t.co/GEVmvpcxKw pic.twitter.com/ugLj995Iih

these are separate fires. the griffith park fire is mostly contained, they were just moving animals because of air quality.

The news said there are firefighters that have been up 24 hours with no food, they're freaking heroes.

The firefighters and first responders are truly godsends and heroes.

Really getting pissed that Californians voted yes on prop 11.

I feel like this happened after the 2016 election too...I remember something political happening in the country and then California was on fire.

I feel bad for people losing their homes, and especially people with asthma and other breathing problems. All that smoke isn't good for anyone.

Election season and wildfire season are always at the same time. Just like last year's fires

it's wild that shit just burns down in cali all the time. i mean we get hurricanes but they seem more...natural than a fire burning down your house.

Other than frequent and small earthquakes here and there, this part of Cali is never on fire or any danger, really. It's a wild concept for locals here as well, unless, of course, they moved from parts of Cali that caught fire easily.

That's what I keep thinking about. Fires that close to Los Angeles? It's mind-blowing to me.

Seriously....besides lighting striking dry brush and mechanical accidents, how do all these fires get started? Is shit so boring people gotta play with matches outside?
