Lumière Festival: Javier Bardem on Woody Allen: ‘I’d Work with Him Tomorrow’

October 17, 2018 Jeffrey Dean Morgan Javier Bardem just can't stop himself from saying dumb things. In
April this year he expressed how shocked he was at the sudden treatment of a well-known
predator and a pedophile Woody Allen. And now this dumbass had the audacity to call Allen "a genius", saying how he'd work with him tomorrow. His tragic opinion comes from the fact that sadly Allen’s legal status hasn't changed since the last time they worked together in 2007, explaining that the pos had never been found guilty of any crime. “Today, 11 years later, it is the same accusation. Public accusations are very dangerous. If some day there is a trial and it’s proven to be true, I would change my opinion, but at this moment, nothing has changed.”
Another interesting take from the Variety article is that Bardem's comments, who spoke during a masterclass at the Lumière Film Festival on Monday, drew loud applause from the packed crowd. I mean, can you believe? I sure can, but I'm also very fucking tired of this narrative.
