Did she ever get that backpay for The Crown and did Matt Smith ever comment on it?

No, I read an interview where she said the backpay thing was total fiction.

that hairstyle is truly awful on her.

i am not excited for her version of lisbeth or this movie altogether. justice for the daniel craig/rooney mara/david fincher universe!

Has there been any explanation as to why Daniel, Roony, and David were dropped?

I think David went way over budget/is hard to work with and the new director wanted his own cast

It was too expensive to fly everyone back and forth between the states and Europe. Fincher and daniels wanted a raise I think and Sony was like nope. It's a shame, that formula really really worked. Even down to the lighting. Rooney should dress up as her on Halloween and petty tbh

I'm still not as into The Crown as everyone else, but I liked her a lot in First Man. Still wish Rooney Mara was Lisbeth, she was great.

Describes her build in Girl in the Spider's Web as atheletic and says her Lisbeth Salander will be a more action oriented and less sexually titallating and male gaze-y

I'm going to sound like a massive hypocrite because I actually like Rooney's TGWTDT but man some of those scenes were...yikes. If the new film actually succeeds in not being so male gazey then I'm here for it.

The trailer for Girl in the Spider's Web looks so boring. I'm all for a film being more action paced and less suited for the male gaze, but I don't buy her as Lisbeth. At all.
