omg. wishing her all the best. cancer is terrifying. a co-worker died of the same cancer. it was heartbreaking. :(

Working with cancer samples and seeing such a huge range of ages really freaks me out. That and learning that tons of doctors don't give a fuck about keeping themselves up to date with current treatments/research so people are dying when they probably don't have to

i saw way too many people in their 30's with advanced colon cancer while on my surgery rotation. i'm lowkey scared as hell now.

I remember taking care of a girl in her late 20s who was in the final stages of gastric cancer. Some of the saddest shit I’ve ever seen.

also saw a patient in her 20's (same age as me at the time) with metastatic melanoma. was having terrible side effects from her immunotherapy. it ain't right.
