I wonder if Kate still technically has custody, but Hannah has been spending more time with her dad because she's not getting along with her mom more.

i would almost guarantee that this is the case. having custody is just the legal arrangement. if kate and jon agreed to have hannah live with him, then that would (usually) be just fine without having to change anything legally

Yup! When my stepson was about 15 his mom decided she couldn’t get along with him anymore and asked him not to come back. My husbands had primary custody to begin with, but now he’s here full time. He’s 18 now, but nothing was ever legally changed. He just stopped going to his moms and it was fine even though he technically was supposed to be at her house every weekend.

Neither of them are parent of the year material. I think Kate does try her best for her kids but definitely puts her ego over her kids. Jon makes me cringe but I definitely think he wants to be closer with his kids, Kate is the only person making it impossible for him.

There is no way with those parents let alone the money and taste of fame at the expense of privacy of those kids, that they aren’t going to end up so screwed up
