So I mentioned this in roundup the other day, but I saw Madeline's Madeline the other night and it was a trip. I think it's a divisive film - like, I could very easily see why someone wouldn't like it - but I thought it was thought-provoking and intense, and I'm interested in seeing more from both the lead and the director.

I saw BlacKkKlansman, it started off a little slow but ended up being really great. The scene in the third act that cross-cut between the Klan ceremony and the Panther meeting will probably be one of the most powerful things I seen this year. But I don't get all the people saying Adam Driver will get nominated for supporting actor, John David Washington or bust tbh.

ITA about it starting slow, and yeah, that scene was absolutely incredible.

I disagree on Washington, though; I didn't find him particularly compelling in this role. I hope to see him in more stuff, though, I am sure he has a lot of natural talent!

I definitely think he was the MVP of the film but I’ll l have to wait til the end of the year to see if I’d actually choose him for the 5. Most of the other lead actor contenders are boring and predictable as fuck.
