I know it won’t happen but I’d love after rehab for her to get out the business.

At the very least I hope they stop with pushing her as a huge figure for sobriety. Just so much pressure

I think she and Selena would be way better off if they got out of the industry. But, and I mean no disrespect given recent events with Demi, they both have an addiction to the industry and being known.

Slightly gross to ask, but out of curiosity how do you think this will affect her career? Sober shot up in iTunes as a result of her OD and Skyscraper became a hit because of her post-rehab-comeback narrative.

I also wonder if she’s going to continue with being a spokesperson for addiction/recovery because it has become such a big part of her artistry but I definitely think it’s pressure she has never needed.

She won’t leave the industry. Too many people invested in her including her own mom, as Demi pays all her bills. She will return and stay sober a while, probably have more handlers this time around. But I don’t see her staying sober sadly.

The amount of people who stay sober after rehab is shockingly low. Most addicts can't stay sober, and for Demi you are also piling on bipolar disorder, eating disorder, being in the public eye 24/7, her family issues, having access to millions of dollars, having friends around to give you whatever drugs you want.
