I support my local library by working as a library assistant, vaguely considering an MLS :)

I am thinking about the online program at U of I, mostly because I don't want to uproot my life. But I kinda want to uproot my life, which has led me to looking into the UW @ Seattle program. My boss says Seattle is where the, "rockstars" of librarians go, but our system is one of the top systems in the country as well.

As an aside, one of my bestie's has been threatening to buy me a "punk ass book jockey" tee to wear under my clothes at work, lol.

I love how in the bad timeline in It's A Wonderful Life, Mary's life as an unmarried librarian is framed like a fate worse than death sdlfks:

Oh man I love this movie but this pisses me off everytime. Even if being a librarian was a hooooooorible job, just because Mary doesn't know George she will become their version of an old maid? Mary is stunning and wonderful so I am sure she could have had a nice life with someone else.

I love the movie Party Girl so much; it's my feel good movie.

I've had a library card since I was 7 so yes, I support my public libraries. :)
