What a comprehensive write-up, OP! I was curious about your trip, and this post delivers.

I am the first to admit I'm not into gory/bloody horror stuff or monsters/aliens, so I was unsure I'd find anything in the post that I'd actually watch. But both Parallel and Cam sound intriguing to me, as well as the cat movie.

omg OP what a masterpiece of a post

My own two cats are my world, so I felt an automatic connection to the film. I knew I was going to cry while watching and I was fully prepared to embarrass myself in the theater. I quickly realized I wasn't alone; all throughout the film many people around me were loudly blowing their noses, sniffling, and even full-out sobbing hysterically. If you're a cat lover, or had a cat in your family, I pretty much guarantee that if you see this movie you WILL cry. The Travelling Cat Chronicles is not totally depressing - thankfully, Nana is given a voice and has adorable and sweet commentary throughout the film - but it is emotional and knows exactly how to pull at cat lovers' heartstrings.

WELL this will wreck me for SURE (I also have a cat and he's my life). thanks for the heads up because I am ALWAYS the person sobbing hysterically on movie theaters and then having to leave with shades on bc my face is such a mess. but I will watch it. (gonna read the book first though I think)

It was really great! It ran fairly smoothly and everyone was really nice, and it was fun to watch movies with an audience who is really into them. And it was cool to hear/see some of the directors talk too!
