Mark Wahlberg openly talks about how he was was offered the role, but his priest advised him against it-->

"I met with Ang Lee on that movie, I read 15 pages of the script and got a little creeped out. It was very graphic, descriptive - the spitting on the hand, getting ready to do the thing.

I told Ang Lee, 'I like you, you're a talented guy, if you want to talk about it more...' Thankfully, he didn't...I didn't rush to see Brokeback, it's just not my deal."

Mark says he owes his career to Father Flavin. Father Flavin pushes Mark to honor his religious roots.

Good ol' Father Flavin Flav. I'm sure god is totally onboard with all the guns and shooting and such Mark has to have done in his career, right? That's supes better than bum-bum sex.

I always wanted Ennis and Jack's other boyfriend to meet but it's really like 'how would that have ever happened'?

How about we get gay actors to play gay roles. I’m sick of these straights looking like they’d rather die than kiss someone of the same sex. I’ll never forget someone I follow on tumblr saying these straight girls on tv look like they “wanna quit and move back to Nebraska every time they have to pretend to like pussy”

Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Ryan Phillippe

The others are doing well (well, kinda for Brad Pitt), but RIP Ryan Phillippe's career. He's so forgettable though; apart from Cruel Intentions, I don't think I can remember another movie he has made.

he was in Crash which came out the same year as BBM. BBM lost best picture at the Oscars to Crash. Traffic is another Oscar winning movie that came out several years before about drug trafficking on the Mexico US border lol.

He played a nerdy computer hacker in one called Antitrust which was a bit corny. The most recent film I've seen him in was a horror on Netflix called Wish Upon.
