best tv wedding ever. diahann carol and patti labelle as whitley and dwayne's mothers was such perfect casting.

this show was the perfect evolution of a premise. eventually surpassing the social impact and relevancy of it's parent show. to go from dense denise and her hijinks at college to tackling topics like the LA riots, slavery, campus assault, colorism, the list goes on. i loved it, i miss it.

i saw reruns when i was a kid, so i decided to watch it from beginning to end a few summers ago and it's truly one of my favorite shows
