Mike is such a great person. I’m really looking forward to this album. Granted, the circumstances are definitely not what I even want at all, and I still can’t believe it’s been almost a full year :( My heart does still ache over the loss and it’s been helped to heal a bit with these songs, tbh.
Every single song that comes out is a bit of a punch to the gut but at the same time it's been helping a lot in an odd way; his healing process, as painful as it sounds in every song, is reaching to those still healing and helping them. I'll forever support him for being so open with the fans.
My bday is 6 days after the day we lost Chester and I'm not very keen on celebrating it; I didn't last year and still have my gifts back home still unopened. :/
I know what you mean. It's so hard for me to listen to the EP. He is indeed so open. For a while, I was really worried that he'd make himself even more vulnerable that way. I guess it's just his way of healing.
