S2 has gotten really good lately (particularly eps 4-6).

I think its them acting like things are more complex than they are. I think they want so badly for this show to be so complex and to have a million layers and theories but it just... doesn't? I think they kind of blew their wad so to speak with the different timelines reveal last season.

The overarching plot is interesting, but I'm not so sure the writers know what to do with individual characters' plots. Ironic, considering that the show is about people who make "stories" out of robot people, fuck up, and everything goes to shit.
