Wow, was this event put together entirely by men? how did someone not notice that? They should also try to feature shows with strong female presences. Rachel Bloom and Aliene Brosh McKenna would be great for this.

I'm also struck by how powerful Twitter is for immediate backlash like this. No other platform gives individual people this much of a voice.

Because...it's representative? The world is made up of 50% women, so there should at least be more than 10% women in anything like this. With ones that are made up of all women, that's generally the point -- to talk about female writers in television or whatever. If it's just a normal lineup with no gendered perspective, it should be mostly equal.
