My god OP you've outdone yourself 😍

I'd also add The Pipettes, Amy, Lily Allen (Alfie and Everything's just wonderful in particular) and April March (not that modern I guess but very out of time and out of fashion when she was doing her throwback thing)

I'd also like to nominate I wish I was a punk rocker (with flowers in my hair) by Sandi Thom for worst throwback lol

I’ve never seen these videos and have never heard of The Pipettes. That video is a recreation of Z Man’s party scene in Beyond the Valley of the Dolls! And I only know of Candie Payne in association with Edgar Jones (Edgar Summertyme) from The Stairs (are thy married??).

Thanks for posting these, they’re interesting.

don't thank me, thank imf, the best music channel that no longer exists!
i think the pipettes broke up and i know gwenno (the lead) has been putting out solo music. as for candie payne, i know she went back to graphic design. don't know whether she's done with music for good or not.

It's pretty good if you like artsy/avant garde films, especially from that era. Works as a precursor for Coppola's The Conversation and De Palma's Blow Out
