i liked the first one before i realized how insufferable jesse eisenberg is. this seems like a waste of time. well, a waste of my time at least.

This is one of the few movies that doesn't need the original cast to succeed. Just set it in a different part of the world or the US. Most of the actors are past their peak now anyway and having them come back to a breakout franchise looking old and haggard would be... sad.

Maybe Woody Harrelson and Abigail Breslin would come back as a Kick-Ass Hitgirl and Big Daddy type duo but as secondary characters to new characters? Who's on a similar rise a la Jesse/Emma in 2009? Maybe Kiernan Shipka? I'd really like to see her do some comedic roles. Any of the Stranger Things kids would kill in this but might be a tad too young. Steve maybe but I can't see him wanting to do this since it's a touch too similar. Sadie Sink would be cute.

I suppose kids would be fun, but if it's set 10 years in the future then they would have been babies/toddlers when the outbreak began.

um, EXACTLY?! They'll have been raised in childhood as zombie slayers. I remember when i was 10 i wrote a story about a 3 year old whose Dad was like James Bond so she was obviously also like a child james bond

yeah haha it's stupid AF but if zombies were all the kids had ever known, surely theyd be more adapted and be incredibly adept at killing?
