I was crushed by the recent
Liam Gallagher cancellation, so I started checking out some other performances on the tour and came across Richard Ashcroft's mini rant in San Francisco.
Starts at 0:48:
-Says we shouldn't be stealing the ideals of people who spend years on the fringes
-Names Katy Perry as an example of someone claiming to be woke because "she's all political now"
-Says he was writing songs in 1997 with lyrics like "you're a slave to money, then you die" and "the drugs don't work"
-Points out he's still married to the same lady and has 2 kids
-"Death and annihilism sells, not love!"
-He pinpoints love as the reason he's still performing
Source ONTD, does he have a point or is he the embodiment of the classic oldmanyellsatcloud.gif?
