She has great stage presence but her voice is nothing to death drop about.

i wouldn’t call someone with a 4+ octave vocal range and a whistle register a “weak vocalist”

y’all need to stop pushing that narrative that she’s a great dancer but not a good vocalist. because no matter what she does, it will never be enough. she doesn’t have a big voice, but she still can belt. she has a velvety tone that fits perfectly the genre she wants to go

4 octaves doesn't mean shit if her voice isn't strong, and it isn't. It means nothing if it isn't stable, which it isn't.

I wish her well but don't act like her voice is something it's not.

lol and Katy Perry also has a pretty good vocal range but you don't see anyone claiming she's the heir to Whitney's throne (who actually had a smaller range).

you need to stop, and i say this as a fellow stan.

whatever her vocal range, she still has a weak voice. her live performances are weak vocally. she's still an amazing performer but we don't have to pretend that she's perfect.

Vocal range does not mean shit sis. Opera singers mostly only have 2 octaves of usable range, but they are expected to deliver.

But if Normani keeps it in the range of Aaliyah and just focus on delivering bops, she’ll do fine. Not every pop singer has to be a vocalist.

most of the best of them aren't. give us the bops, the looks and the performances and we're good

She’s not an amazing vocalist but she knows her voice well and her limits. She’s a very good dancer and has a likeable personality.

This is her first official song as a solo act. (Just ignore Khalid)
