She models hats for Instyle:

I was quite adamant about showing my natural hair onscreen, because I had never really seen anyone with hair like mine in a sci-fi movie. Images are so important, and I thought it was an opportunity for little girls growing up mixed to feel included and see that they can be an ( Read more... )

We Hate Movie's commentary for this movie killed me. The Michael Shannon bit and Andrew's rage at the ending had me rolling

Ugh, I downloaded that like a week ago and keep forgetting to watch it. I just keep listening to "Brainscan" on repeat while I do chores.

"I dunno, Trickster, I just feel like you're tricking me, man."

I was just thinking about that! lmao poor Jeremy, paying for Brainscan Ltd.'s many crimes. And he didn't even get a Christmas party.

Wow I just left a comment in the Starfire post about this same concept but re: Riverdale. They let the actresses who play Josie and the Pussycats wear their hair however they want, probably because they know their hair stylists would fuck it up. It'd be better to get some black hair stylists up in there specifically for them, but giving them so much autonomy is kinda nice. Not even the Betty and Veronica actresses have that much freedom re: their hair.

The hairstylist who did Ashleigh's hair was white but thanked her for teaching and trusting her with her hair for this season. I was surprised since I thought Ashleigh basically had to do her own hair

Ahh I didn't know they changed things for season 2, but it makes sense because Josie's hairstyles haven't been as ~fun as season 1 and have been more consistent.
