i just caught up on the first 3 eps omg how did i manage to watch these before? did i grow out of trashy tv lol. anyway, re: malec: i feel like matthew has been trying lately, his heart eyes and stuff are actually looking genuine lol, harry on the other hand... dude, work with matthew there please.
Malec was great this episode. Much better than the awkwardness of the first episode this season.
I was glad to get some Izzy/Clary scenes this episode. [Spoiler (click to open)]Seriously, kill off Jace. Give his screen time to Raphael and IzzyI'm assuming that the mark on Simon is the mark of Cain (or whatever, I gave up on the books forever ago) that Clary gave him in the books. It's basically made him invincible, which bugs. Why would the Seelie Queen want to potentially give the Shadowhunters an advantage in a fight? I still don't understand how no one outside the clique has figured out how Simon became a daylighter. I'm curious what Raphael has been trying to do to the girl Simon sired. I don't think she's a daylighter

Re: girl Simon sired, I feel like maybe she's got some insanity newborn bloodlust thing going on so Raph has been trying to tranq her and keep her under control and under wraps until it's passed? Idek idek. Raphael needs more storyline, and Izzy needs more screentime, such as that given to the main love interest, so make her the main love interest, AKA MAKE HER CLARY'S GIRLFRIEND @ SHOW.
Like I said in a comment last week, make Maia and Clary best bros and have them going to like evening pottery classes and galleries and gigs and doing fun stuff idek, then have Clary coming home to domestic romance with her gf Izzy.
I didn't see the twist coming. Even when they said it was human this episode I still didn't see it lol. I guess nothing hinted at his changing locations to me before?? Also the demon ability. I mean, it's one thing to be mind-controlled, another to have red possessing mist...
And I'm against crazy vampires. Like, it's tiring to me to watch edgy people especially when I didn't even remember who she was supposed to be from previous eps. I wish the show would do something with the vampires I'd care to watch because right now idgaf. Sorry for rant.
AND LEAVE MARYSE ALONE. Shittier circle members who deserved to still be punished got themselves killed already. She needs a chance to keep getting better.

I completely forgot that Simon killed someone last season, so I was confused until Raphael talked to her.
But it wasn't even Simon who did that. He thought he did but then they tracked another vampire in the den. He dead. Unless they plan to push it off on Simon now just because he drank from her.

I am LIVING for Maryse 2.0. What kind of glow up! Now she can stick around more and get with Luke.
I think Raphael was chaining her up and tranqing her because her newborn bloodlust craziness was out of control, idek idek. Either way i'm bored of her and Simon and whatever else Simon has going on already.
Maryse 2.0 is amazing and primed for Luke/Maryse, especially if they're both no longer shadowhunters.
Everything about Simon and his storyline is boring to me, but I don't think Raphael tying her up is altruistic and just about newbie bloodlust, we shall see.
