ONTD Original: Ten of the Most AH-MAH-ZING Episodes/Moments from ABC's 'Happy Endings'
“Get over it, it's been cancelled. Move on.” No heaux, I will NOT get over it - YOU get over it! This show is beloved and I'm sorry nobody gives two arses if you were cancelled from LIFE. Whoa, ok I'm sorry...lemme bring that down from a 10 to a 9. But I see you, you on candid camera. New episodes, gone too soon from our airwaves and DVR's, Happy Endings garnered a loyal fanbase worldwide and online. The show struggled to find consistent ratings on ABC (maybe had they not moved its airings around/fucked with its list order of episodes) and on its third and final season was moved to Friday's (the death slot). Shortly afterwards, the show's cancellation was confirmed by ABC. The pain still fresh....a slew of shows around this same time/era met a similar fate (Apt 23, Selfie, etc). We will pour one for those shows as well...ok, moment is over. This ONTD Original is about Happy Endings, so let's try and keep it on topic and review ten of the best episodes/moments (in no particular order) of this beloved show.

Episode Description: When the whole gang, with the exception of Dave, falls in love with Grant, Max wonders if he really is good enough to date the "perfect" guy. Meanwhile, Dave sets out to prove he's way cooler than Max's new boyfriend, and Penny tries to get the gang to recognize her and new boyfriend Sean (David Clayton Rogers) as the perfect pair for couples dating.

Episode Description: Dave gets a liquor license for his food truck, making it a new, speakeasy-styled, hot spot; the gang avoids Dave because his signature drink gives them sex dreams about him. Along the way, Dave's popularity of his truck gets to his head, leading to him making stupid decisions, including hosting a birthday party for and forming a strange friendship with Colin Hanks. At the end of the episode, Alex, after drinking one of Dave's drinks, wakes up in bed with him.

Episode Description: After a health scare, Brad's uptight dad (Damon Wayans) now has a new lease on life and just wants to have fun, which Brad is having a difficult time dealing with; Penny starts to date an attractive Italian, but she can only speak his language when she's drunk; Dave and Max have fun in their apartment with nerf dart guns.

Meanwhile, Jane tries to help Alex find a new roommate, and Penny decides to find herself a more stereotypical gay friend to hang out with.

Episode Description: The gang is shocked to discover that Jane was born on Christmas Day and has been lying about her birthday this whole time because she hated being overshadowed by the day. Meanwhile, Max is trying to kick his eggnog addiction and Dave helps Penny pick out the perfect Christmas gift for Pete.

Episode Description: Alex suddenly leaves Dave at the altar on the day of their wedding, putting their group of friends (Brad, Jane, Penny and Max) in an awkward position of having to choose sides. All these problems come to a head at Penny's birthday party the following week.

Episode Description: Dave finds himself bullied at the gym by Corey (Bobby Moynihan), and former bully Alex coaches him on how to fight back. Meanwhile, the residents at Brad and Jane's condo are fed up with Jane being too controlling as president of their home owners' association, and rise up to challenge her for the job. But when Penny tells Jane to "sleep on it" before she does anything rash, her advice results in an all-new, suddenly chilled out Jane.

Episode Description: After the gang pranks Max into thinking he won a big lotto jackpot, he vows revenge when they least suspect it. Everyone dreads what might happen next; Alex decides to cut a deal with Max to avoid payback. And Max's plotting gets in the way of the big event Penny's been waiting for, a proposal from Pete. Meanwhile, Brad gets a new job as a CFO, but Jane is not amused when she learns the job title is "Chief Fun Officer" and that Brad is working at a gym for kids.
