Pet names should be private. I had a friend who strictly referred to her boyfriend on social media as "Schmoopy" or "Schmoops" or "The Schmoop", etc etc. Big surprise, they're broken up now.

LOL I do think she got the nickname from Seinfeld and thought it was OK because it orginated as like "Oh, isn't this silly, I'm calling him this sappy name." Buuuut then it was like two years of like "Me and the Schmoopster went to the movies!" "Date night with Schmoop!" "Schmoopy has a cold and gave it to me." I'm not even 100% sure of what is real name was!
