I completely agree that CMBYN had disturbing moral implications and there are valid criticisms but it still destroyed me emotionally.

i watched god's own country yesterday (AMAZING btw), and it's a pretty good antithesis to cmbyn. it's also hella more graphic

i can see why it got an NR rating because i can totally see the MPAA giving it a hard nc-17

sorry for replying to an old af comment but I just finally got around to seeing it. POWERFUl, amazing film. and you were spot on with the "antithesis to cmbyn." those freaking animal scenes!
talk about going from a languid northern italian daydream into harsh reality
