jfc, Downton Abbey was such conservative soap opera TRASH, how the fuck could you put it in the top ten let alone as number 1?

Yeah every single other period drama on that list is better than Downton Abbey. Downton Abbey is fun (or was, until I ragequit when Lady Sybil died), but it's not a great period drama in their classic form.

I watched it to the end but I lost sooooo much interest when Sybil died. She was clearly the best of the daughters.

New series of Peaky is well worth returning too. They’re back in Small Heath fighting a vendetta against Italian mafia. (Also Cillian gets naked and both the Cole brothers get their tops off.)

omg yes idk how I forgot about Virgin Queen tbh, it's one of my all time faves! Queen Anne-Marie Duff is an underrated GODDESS.

And tbh Tom Hardy was fine af in it, it can't be denied.

The soundtrack is actually one of my go-to playlists for exam revision and I was listening literally just earlier this afternoon, it's perfection.

honestly i love downton abbey. mostly because i watched it as a tradition with my dad every sunday. and maggie smith ofc.

one time my english teacher was like "im old, i watch downton abbey! not like any of you do right??" or something along those lines and my WHOLE class started laughing, and i was just sitting there like "yeah, hehe, that would be crazy right" lmao
