Season 11 of The X-Files will premiere on Wednesday January 3rd at 8PM while Ryan Murphy's 9-1-1 (starring Angela Bassett and Peter Krause among other) will premiere at 9PM on the same night

I was a pretty big X-Files fan, but something about that reboot left a bad taste in my mouth. Plus, didn't we hear that there are like, zero women besides Anderson on this project? Meh.

I feel like all the best episodes were standalone episodes, tho! Even last season my favorite was the were-lizard thing episode. I feel like the Syndicate plot has gotten so convoluted at this point that I don't really care, lol.

this was me in seasons 8 and 9. the mythology was out of control by that point, but the show still gave us some great standalones.
