That's really important and I am glad those celebrities are adding their voices.

I really wish the Yemeni war was also getting coverage in the western world though.

besides the obvious, this highlights how few south asian celebrities there are in hollywood

It makes me sad to say this, but honestly, it won't get any coverage and not a lot of people will know about it. If the victims are not white/on a western state, its not important. Some time ago, there was a truck bombing in Somalia, and the coverage was minimal, if any. Human lives matter if you are on the lighter shade of caucasian in all honesty. It breaks my heart to read and see what is going on to these people who have done nothing but live their normal lives without interfering with anyone. Inhumanly exterminated because their presence is not wanted.

I agree with you but I hope you're wrong. "Never again" seems to only apply to white people governed by individuals with backbones.

I only know about this thanks to the Pod Save America peeps. The whole situation is so unfathomably heartbreaking. I don't even know what to say or do.

This is such an ugly thing happening and telling how western media (as far as I've noticed) is basically "oh yeah, Rohingya crisis still going on, now we've told you, kay?"
