My ex tried to pull a Krupa on me. I have weight I need to lose, but it’s really hard because of some medical issues I have. When he tried to mansplain how to lose weight to me and how/what I should eat and how it really isn’t that hard, I lost my shit. I had to actually explain to him how, “Remember when we were dating that one time? Yeah, I didn’t have abs and I was still thicker and I was ANOREXIC AND WORKING OUT AN UNHEALTHY AMOUNT!”

Yes, for some people they can easily shed weight but some of us can’t and yeah life would be fucking easy if the work we put in actually paid off

i've only read the highlights here but can say that yeah the desire to work out -- and the health tbh -- has to be there. honestly for the past month or two i have not been motivated nor has my body felt right to work out in the way i normally do. i did it anyway and it hurt more than helped so i've tackled my water, diet, and sleep so that i can feel better to work out. moving around is always a good idea -- standing up, walking, taking the stairs if one can, etc. -- but taking care of the foundation is #1 imo

whoever Joanna Krupa is, she's right. everyone needs to exercise. it's healthy living and part of life. in fact, the more unhealthy, old and disabled you are, the more important it is. exercise doesn't have to be going to the gym or expensive, it can be just walking etc.

obviously some disabilities make it really difficult, painful, or require expensive equipment, but for 99% of people there is no excuse.

Exactly. When was the last time Beyoncé was getting groceries or doing laundry or even driving? I'm not hating, I'm jealous! That is a lot of time that can be spent focusing on you.
