they're all from black sails, the iconic pirate show full of more lgbt characters than you can shake a stick at. it's literally about gay revenge and spanish treasure gold and burning down the british empire.

(disclaimer: if you do watch it, be warned s1 is riddled w bad writing and a rape subplot, but s2 is the best 10h of tv ever made and the rest is great too. s1 even becomes good on rewatch bc suddenly Everything Has New Meaning. i've never seen a single show improve so drastically and with so much heart.)

that's why i've been stuck in fanfic hell since the show ended lmao. normally i don't bother these days, but this show is so fucking nuanced writing for it is actually super exciting and the quality of fic is ridiculous across the board.
