the whole point was a 3rd party alien no one knows jack about attacked and brought everyone together

in the movie no way the world wouldn't blame the us govt for what dr manhattan did. he worked for them. he was a citizen. imo blaming it on him wouldnt have worked in the end.

i would rather have a lame squid which makes sense than blaming it on blue dong.
