when i was 7 i saw a psychic commercial and called the number because i thought i could talk to my uncle who had just died. my family saw a $75 charge on the phone bill and confronted me about it. then they called to dispute the charge and were told they couldn't give a refund, but that they would send us a worry stone and a dowsing pendulum for the trouble.

the stone was shaped like a butterfly and felt nice, the pendulum was a crystal on a chain and i think my aunt took it? she was pregnant at the time and i remember us using it over her stomach but i can't remember what it did.
