Elliott Yamin has an album deal

Richmond Times-Dispatch Jan 25, 2007

It's finally a reality, Elliott Yamin fans -- Richmond's biggest American Idol candidate has an album deal.
Yamin has signed with independent Hickory Records and also inked a deal with RED Distribution, which will help promote the album along with Sony/ATV, with whom he has a publishing contract.

Yamin, who came in third in last seasons competition, moved to Los Angeles several months ago and has frequently visited Atlanta and Nashville to work with songwriters for the album, due March 20.

The first single, Movin On, is expected to be available at all online music providers by Feb. 13.
This is an ideal situation that enables Elliott to have real creative and marketing input over the music that he produces, manager Jeff Rabhan said. The deal will also allow Yamin to participate as a meaningful partner in the albums financial success, according to Rabhan.

Also on the 2007 itinerary -- a solo tour this spring and summer.

Thank you to all you folks @the Yaminion site for starting up that website and providing a forum for not only fans of mine, but fans of life and music, to meet, discuss and share ideas and opinions every day since the show started!...your support has been the most inspiring tool for me to use when I put the pen to the pad and create! And how about Brandon and all my peeps over @The E-Train Station!?
Thank ya'll for all of your devoted love and support, letters, pictures, gifts, etc! Yaminions and ETrainers have also both been instrumental in supporting me in raising money to find a cure for diabetes! God Bless you for that! We've been teaming up w/the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation to raise as much money as we possibly can to use towards research and education!...Let's keep it up and never stop!.....
