I think at its most biological level, it's because men can't but want to control the means of reproduction

I've literally had a guy (who was pretty misogynistic btw) confirm this in one of his more honest moments. He hated the fact women were the ultimate gatekeepers of sex and was envious of women's ability to give birth.

I think this is exactly it.

A woman will always have 100% certainty that the child she is giving birth to carries her own genetic material. No matter what a man does, he will never have that certainty. And so men have done everything in their power to control women in order to ensure continuation of their own genetic material.

He didnt even write that song. Under deposition Robin admitted that Pharrell created everything and he showed up drunk and high through all of it and decided to take some credit after.

I mean are you defending him for literally any part of that song or this incident? Kinda hard to tell.

he took credit for another mans work so you can say "Yeah, totally inconceivable that the dude who sang the rapiest song in years might also scare his kids" but saying he wrote it would be factually incorrect. that gross honor goes to another. that is the point im making.

Well, it's a stupid point given the context, but I sure hope it makes you feel better to have made it.

Just say "oh i didnt know" and be done with it. If you wanna be a dick go right ahead but I said nothing stupid nor wrong by pointing out he's another white musician thieving off a black musicians work [x2 if you count marvin gaye]. You wanna take me fact checking you and turn it around as me defending him says more about you than me. I'm done.
