when I was younger I used to not really understand all the small differences in being brown. Like reading Seventeen and wanting to try like lipstick colors and cute shirts to wear and being sad and frustrated when they looked bad on me because my skin wasn't fair and pink. Now I would never wish to be anything but what I am.
