the immensity of her legacy, which is based solely on one album, is crazy. Back to Black is good, but damn i didnt think it would elevate her to Aaliyah or Kurt status.

I mean I listened to both albums before she died and was a fan and I didn't follow her antics that closely. I was youngish so I was aware but I wasn't on the internet that much. I just honestly listened to her albums on my albums because my mom bought them

Yeah I adored her and that album, and obviously lived through her time, and I'm still a little taken aback by her status now.

I wonder if that's how baby boomers feel about the original 26 club members.
